I know, I know—it’s been a minute since my last blog post. Somehow, we blinked, the Super Bowl came and went (with plenty of chatter about the halftime show and a game that didn’t quite go as expected), and now we’re already well into 2025. Time moves fast, but I want to assure you: I’m still here, still writing, and still committed to sharing this journey with you all.
I included some pictures to help illustrate the narrative. And in the process of finding them, I realized something—I haven’t been snapping as many lately because I’ve just been in the moment. Living it, soaking it in, and honestly, that’s been a good thing.
Over the past few months, I had to repurpose my writing capacity to focus on an incredible publishing opportunity—one that I can't wait to share more about soon. But for now, just know that the words never stopped flowing; they were simply being directed toward a different endeavor. Stay tuned!
Wrapping Up 2024 with Intention
December was a whirlwind, as it always is for our family. We spent time with my family, took a short cruise for Christmas, came back home, and carved out moments to rest and recalibrate for the new year. This rhythm of slowing down and prioritizing experiences has been invaluable, and it set the perfect tone for what was to come in 2025.
Family Strategy Retreat & A Chilly Surprise
We kicked off the year with our annual Family Strategy Retreat, which continues to be a game-changer for us. It’s our time to reflect, recalibrate, and set our intentions for the year ahead. Each year, the kids get more engaged in the process, making it even more meaningful.
We made it back home just in time for an unexpected surprise—inches of snow in Florida! It completely shut the city down for a week, and while it was an adjustment, it also gave us a rare and beautiful experience right in our backyard. It was surreal watching the kids play in the snow without having to travel for it!
The Kids Keep Us Moving
Speaking of the kids, they continue to keep us on our toes. If you don’t follow me on social media, you might not know—we are now official club parents for our daughter, who is playing volleyball and doing pretty well, might I add! It’s been fun dusting off my mingling skills with the dads, who all have the same expression at practices. Meanwhile, my little guy is back in basketball and absolutely loving it. Karate is still going strong for both of them as they continue climbing the belt ladder.
What’s Next?
As we settle into 2025, I’m refocusing on sharing, inspiring, and ensuring that every conversation, project, and initiative adds real value. The work doesn’t stop, and neither does the journey.
